ABOUT ME
I attended The University of Georgia for undergraduate and graduate school, finishing my masters in professional counseling in 2011. I worked with children, adolescents, and families at a C&A community mental health clinic for a couple years before transitioning to higher education. I then spent five years in college counseling centers, and I continue to love working with college students and young adults as they make major career and relationship choices.
I am also passionate about working with women's issues, grief, and families building an environment of safety, trust, and confidence. I served as a foster parent in Bulloch County for several years and was a part-time consultant with Babies Can't Wait, an early intervention program for ages 0-3, helping parents support toddlers with attachment issues and trauma behaviors using strategies from Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI).
I transitioned from the Georgia Southern University Counseling Center to private practice in October 2017 in order to spend more time with my children. I worked with the wonderful staff of Fresh Start Counseling Services in Statesboro, Georgia from fall 2017 to fall 2021. In fall 2021 my family moved to the Charleston, South Carolina area where I continue to provide teletherapy.
I primarily provide talk therapy to adults through a CBT lens. I offer Christian faith-based counseling upon request. I am licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina, and I am offering daytime telehealth sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at this time.
